A May Packed with Events for Igea: Success in Brazil, Colombia, and China

In addition to its participation in Brazil (at the Seminário de Negócios in Sergipe) and in Colombia (at Tecnolacteos in Bogotà), the company also gave strong visibility to China, supporting the activities of its local distributor during the 32nd Annual Assembly of the Chinese Dairy Industry Association and the China Dairy Technology Expo 2026.

The month of May saw strong interest from producers, technicians, and visitors at all three events. Igea’s booths were particularly busy, confirming growing attention toward natural bioprotection solutions, as well as toward blends for yogurt, fermented milks, and cheeses, all developed to meet the specific needs of each country.

From May 26 to 28, Igea was a protagonist in Chengdu at the Chengdu International Expo Center for the China Dairy Technology Expo 2026. The event, which featured over 270 companies across 36,000 square meters of exhibition space, represented an important showcase for the company. Igea presented its product range tailored to the needs of the Chinese market, with particular focus on blends for yogurt and fermented milks. These starter cultures, designed to respond to the requirements of local producers, make it possible to obtain products with a balanced texture and aromatic profile, ideal for the country’s taste and traditions. In addition to starters, Igea showcased its solutions for fresh cheeses and bioprotection cultures, confirming its ability to offer innovative technologies, advanced processes, and dedicated technical assistance.

In Brazil and Colombia, Enrico Biraschi, Igea’s Commercial Director, held in-depth technical seminars that added significant value to the events. His presentations, focused mainly on bioprotection and the use of starter cultures, offered concrete insights and provided the audience with a high-level technical contribution. His talks generated questions, discussions, and lively, constructive participation from the public.

The success of this intense international activity would not have been possible without the contribution of local distribution partners. Thanks to their technical expertise and direct knowledge of the production realities in each country, they fuel a continuous flow of knowledge between Igea and its network. Igea, at the center of this system, governs and coordinates it: on the one hand, it gathers and leverages partner input to optimize its products; on the other, it fosters mutual exchange that enhances everyone’s skills. This approach is a fundamental part of the development strategy defined by Igea and shared within the "Rete di Impresa In Hub for Nutrition" with Mediterranea Biotecnologie and Scienzanova. Thanks to this model, Igea and the Rete are able to respond with increasing precision and timeliness to local production needs, offering concrete and targeted support. To all local partners, therefore, goes our recognition for their daily work alongside producers in every country where Igea is present.

Igea’s presence in Brazil, Colombia, and China confirms its international strategy: solutions suited to local needs, direct technical support, continuous research and exchanges that blend tradition and innovation, all made possible also thanks to the distributor partners.
